There are two things that make the journey to Hotel Kolb special: firstly, we’re on an island; and secondly, there are no cars driving back and forth here. To help you find out in advance about your journey to Langeoog, the island’s car parks and luggage transport, we’ve put together some information for you here.
Parking - Langeoog island car parks. At Bensersiel harbour.
Langeoog is car-free, and that is precisely what makes our island so peaceful. The island’s car parks are situated right by Bensersiel harbour: open all year round, with day and long-stay spaces, including for motorhomes of all sizes. No booking is necessary, as there are plenty of spaces available.
When entering, take a parking ticket from the barrier; payment is made on departure at the ticket office or from a pay-on-departure machine, by card or in cash.
The car park is open during the regular arrival times of the Langeoog ferry. These times may vary during the shipping company’s winter timetable.

Ferry & Luggage - Nose to the wind. Off to Langeoog.
From Bensersiel harbour, the ferry runs several times a day, taking around an hour to reach Langeoog. On the island itself, the little island railway is waiting to take you to the station.
You can easily drop off larger suitcases at the self-service luggage drop-off point in Bensersiel, no later than 10 minutes before your ferry’s departure. From there, your luggage will be automatically transported by the island railway to the island railway station. For an additional charge, you can also book onward transport to your hotel. You may also take one piece of hand luggage measuring up to 55 × 45 × 25 cm on board.
